Who we are

getwhatsapp.link is operated from India and provides WhatsApp link generation and management tools for businesses and individuals. We are not affiliated with WhatsApp Inc. or Meta Platforms, Inc. For privacy questions, contact us at privacy@getwhatsapp.link.

Information we collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and optional name via Supabase Auth. When you create WhatsApp links, we store the phone number, country code, pre-filled message, and link slug you provide. For Pro users, we record anonymised click analytics (country, device type, hashed IP) — never raw IP addresses in your dashboard. Payment data is processed by Razorpay; we do not store card numbers.

How we use your information

We use your data to provide the link generator service, manage your account, process Pro subscriptions, send transactional emails (account notifications, receipts), and improve the product. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies for authentication and locale preference (NEXT_LOCALE). Pro analytics track link clicks using privacy-preserving hashed identifiers. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. You can clear cookies through your browser settings at any time.

Data retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your profile, links, and associated analytics within 30 days. Payment records may be retained for up to 7 years for tax and legal compliance as required by Indian law.

Your rights

You may access, correct, or delete your personal data from your account dashboard. You may export your links at any time. To request full data deletion, use the Delete Account option in Settings or email privacy@getwhatsapp.link. Indian users may exercise rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Third-party services

We use Supabase (database and auth), Razorpay (payments), and Vercel (hosting). Each provider maintains their own privacy policy. WhatsApp links redirect users to Meta's WhatsApp service, which has separate terms and privacy practices.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does getwhatsapp.link sell my phone number?+

No. Your phone number is stored only to generate your WhatsApp links. We never sell or share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Can I delete all my data?+

Yes. Go to Dashboard → Account → Delete Account. All links, analytics, and profile data are permanently removed within 30 days.

Do you track visitors who click my WhatsApp link?+

Pro users see anonymised click stats (country, device). We hash IP addresses and never show raw IPs in the dashboard. Free users do not receive click analytics.

Is my payment information stored on your servers?+

No. All payments are handled by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. We only store transaction IDs and payment status.

How do I opt out of emails?+

Transactional emails (login links, receipts) cannot be disabled as they are essential to the service. We do not send promotional emails without consent.
